Ella Mortaz is a Manchester-based fine artist currently completing a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at the University of Salford, graduating in Summer 2026. Her practice explores the relationship between nature and the human experience, drawing on themes of ecofeminism, environmental admiration and preservation.

Working primarily in oil paint, her work is influenced by organic forms, marine environments, and the spiritual connection between humans and nature. Through her paintings, she aims to express a sense of love and gratitude for the natural environment, inviting the viewer to reconnect with both nature and themselves

Environmental preservation is a central focus within her practice, shaping both the subject matter and intention behind her work. As she approaches graduation, Ella continues to develop her visual language while expanding her professional practice, including commissions and original artwork.
